I had the pleasure of running with another friend today. That’s two days in a row that I ran 45 minutes without giving it a second thought! There was barely time to squeeze it in this afternoon and I felt more like a nap than a run but I rested for a few minutes with my feet up first then met GC near the park. We ran at a good clip to the beach, walked a few minutes and watched a crazy-fast wind surfer in big waves, then ran home. The pace was faster than either of us run on our own- probably due to conversation… when we get enthusiastic, so does our run!
I ran three times, around 4 miles each this week and am going to add a mile next week. After that, I’m moving to high altitude so I’ll probably have to back off the mileage and build up again. I just found out that I’m signed up for the Honolulu Marathon, which will take place December 12th. My mom signed up again and added me into the mix since she got a locals discount… just in case. I’ve got about a month to think about it and see how my running goes before I would need to get serious about training!
45 minute run, 5 min warm up, 5 min cool down
toe/heal walks with feet forward, in and out- to keep shins healthy and calves from cramping
core will have to wait till Faust intermission!
