I still hate that word but it’s growing on me and I’m finding it amusing to use it occasionally… as long as nobody calls me prego! I got on my bike (and loved it) for the third day in a row because I decided it would be the easiest mode of transport to the JCC for my mommy water running class. There’s a good bike route for about half the distance, then I was on my own to figure it out. I’m proud to say I managed to find routes coming and going that had more downhill than uphill.
Water running was fun and a good workout, as usual. The water belt isn’t the most comfortable apparatus but it’s good for a short while and it really helps keep me upright. Of course, stabilizing my abs does this even more so I’m working hard to still find and engage those muscles! On my bike ride home, I decided since I’d been on my bike, in the water and “running”, I could consider today’s workout a triathlon. (I know, it’s a bit of a stretch)
Exercise completed, I don’t feel as though I worked too hard today. Maybe post-afternoon nap I’ll pull out the canned pumpkins and turn on the weight training DVD again. I really should splurge on a set of hand weights!
the workout: 5 mile bike ride, 1 hour water running, stretch in warm pool (!!!)
